The journal of Bamboo and Rattan is an internationally peer-reviewed scientific journal published quarterly. It is printed in black and white. Advertisements pertaining to any aspects on bamboo and rattan also will be included in the journal. Any figure or advertisement in colour will be accepted on extra payment.

The scope of the journal encompasses the following broad areas of bamboo and rattan.

All manuscripts of research articles, review papers and short communications will be subject to peer review. Manuscripts submitted for publication in the Journal Bambo and Rattan should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts found unsuitable in terms of the requirements of the journal will not be processed further. Illustrations and other materials, reproduced from other publications, must be properly credited for. Copyright of the article will vest with the publisher.

Submission of manuscripts by e-mail is encouraged. Please send the manuscripts as attachment to jbr@kfri.org. The manuscript should be divided into separate files: text, line drawings, figures, figure legends, tables, references, etc. Alternatively, send the manuscript along with a softcopy in a floppy disk or CD by mail to the Chief Editor.

The corresponding author should give his/her affiliation and full address and e-mail ID. A gallery proof of accepted article will be sent to the author for correcting printer's errors, id any, and for returning immediately.
