Student groups, especially school and college students visit KFRI. Institution heads have to write to Director KFRI before these trips. Special lectures, if any, are chargeable. Visitors are usually shown the herbarium, arboretum, butterfly garden, medicinal plant garden, Xylarium, nursery, etc. Visit to selected labs may be allowed depending upon the specialization of the visitors. Peechi dam is three km from the Institute.
